The Modern Academy of Continuing Education (MACE) functions under the aegis of the Modern High School for Girls, from the School's premises.

Based on the principle of lifelong learning, MACE offers flexible continuing education opportunities to people of all ages and from all walks of life. We offer, in an informal atmosphere, a wide variety of courses, workshops, lecture- demonstrations and talks. These, we hope, would be of interest to assorted groups of people, of diverse interests and of varying ages.

The Teacher Training Course in collaboration with Calcutta University has provided an opportunity to many to continue their learning from where they left off, and acquire a professional certificate. This six-month certificate course boasts of excellent faculty and a skill based training programme that prepares you for the modern-day classroom.

Regular courses in languages are also held at MACE. We offer Basic and Advanced Communication Courses in English, French, German and Japanese languages. Students attend these courses for interest, for fun, and for better opportunities.

Our other programmes include specially - designed courses to meet specific needs, for example, training courses in self-marketing skills, interest - based talks and presentations by experts in their respective fields, and Career Counselling by Institute of Career Studies, Lucknow. In this we provide Individual Career Counselling sessions, conduct Aptitude Tests, and guide students for selection of their subjects in higher classes. This facility is open to students, recent graduates, and young working people of the city.

MACE also presents short-term courses that would enable participants to acquire skills; what starts as a hobby can later form the basis of a lucrative career. In this category we have already organized several workshops on Contemporary Western Dance, Ballroom Dancing and Photography. Many more such workshops and courses are planned for the coming months, in keeping with the spirit of lifelong learning.
